‘Whereas Edward Were of Okeford hath a pencion of twenty shillings per annum allowed him as a maymed souldier and beinge now growne very infirme & above seaventy yeares of age This Courte doth thinke fitt & order that hee shall have twenty shillings per annum added to his said former pencion in all forty shillings per annum to be paid vnto him by the Treasurer for the maymed souldiers of this County by quarterly payments till further order for his more comfortable subsistance and the officers of the said parish are to pay him twenty shillings per annum besides what they doe already allow him for his further releife & maintenance.’
