‘It is ordered that Edward Moore, who was last an inhabitant of the parish of Pycombe and imprest as a souldier, having received hurts and become impotent, shal be sent from Hurst [i.e. Hurstpierpoint?] where he is at present to Pycombe, thence to be settled as an inhabitant and provided for by the churchwardens and overseers of the poore’.
