Fol. 43: Upon a certificate and the information of Colonel Thomas Pride to the JPs for the county that Edward Leake, late of the parish of St Martin’s in the Fields in the county of Middlesex, served the Commonwealth in Pride’s regiment. In which service, Leake received ‘diverse wounds & mehaymes’ so that he was disabled from further service in the wars or get his living by his labour as formerly he has done. He was awarded 20 s. for his present relief until the next General Quarter Sessions to be held for the county, when the court would further consider his case to be admitted to a pension of £4 p.a.
