ff.171-174: Order for arrears to be paid to Edward Howell, late trooper in Captain Blackwell's troop in Lieutenant General Cromwell's regiment for service in the army under the command of Sir Thomas Fairfax, who by reason of several wounds and the loss of the use of one of his hands in the said service is disabled from further employment. He acknowledges receipt of £39 8 s. on 30 January 1648 due for 394 days' pay from 27 October 1645 to 4 February 1647, and £7 6 s. on 31 January 1648 due for a further 73 days' pay to 15 December 1647.
