‘Vpon the humble petition of Edward Addams of Oakehampton in this County a Soldier maimed maimed [sic] in the service of his late Majestie King Charles the first This Courte doth thinke fitt & order that the Treasurer for the maimed souldiers of this County doe henceforth pay vnto the said Edward Addams a pencion of twenty shillings per annum by quarterly payments vntill further order and 5 s. in hand.’
