Notes

Littlebury had petitioned at the previous Easter Sessions that 'he had been a soldier in his Majesty’s army, under the command of William Widderington, and did faithful service under that command as a sergeant. Now reduced (through many losses and troubles) to a very low condition. Whereas he formerly had a pension of 40 s. per annum yet it is too small an allowance to allow him to subsist without a further augmentation. The Court, taking into consideration his condition and desperation, think fit to order an augmentation of 40 s. per annum'.
