‘The Treasurer for the maymed souldiers is ordered to pay to Christofer Cowell of St Mary Church who hath received severall wounds in his Majesties service since the allowance of his former pencion 10 s. as a gratuity and ye Justices of yat division are desired to take care yat ye officers of ye said parish doe give him such releife as his necessities require.’
