‘Whereas Charles Frary pr[e]ferred a Peticon to this Court shewinge he had form[er]ly a pencon allowed him of Forty shillings a yeare the said Charles Frary intending to go into Ireland there to remain and doth desire this Court to allow him five pounds in lieu of his form[er] pencon & forty shillings a yeare this Court considering the pr[e]misses thought fitt to allow And ordered five pounds to be paid him by the Clark of the peace in lewe of his pencon form[er]ly granted him as above, if the Petitioner make it appeare to the Clarke of the peace that he doth really goe into Ireland & the Clarke of the peace is to be reimbursed the said five pounds by the Treasurers for maymed soldiers.’
