The payment was paid to Captain Thomas Poulton for the medical care and burial of Barnaby Lancastone, who had served under him. He had been wounded during a Royalist attack on the fort guard at the Trent Bridges. He was cared for in Nottingham, but had eventually succumbed to his wounds.
