'Forasmuch as oath has beene made before the Justices of peace att these sess[ions] that Capt: Bower a penconed soldier, is in the Comon Wealthes service in Jemica, as by severall Lett[er]s from him doth appeare, & that hee is in arreare for one yeare & a halfe last past, It is ordered that the Trea[sure]r for Layme Soldiers doe pay unto Captaine John Hodshon for his use all his arrears, & hee is to continue in the penson Roll as formerly, his arreares beeing six pounds.'
