Fol. 25: Bridgett Robinson, widow, petitioned that her husband, John Robinson (‘a reverend divine’) served Charles I in the Civil Wars in England, Ireland and Wales. He had previously had ‘a very good estate’ but due to his loyalty, he died ‘truly indigent’ and left her and her five children ‘in a very poore condic[i]on whereby shee is driven to extreame misery. Her petition was referred to the JPs Edward Grey Esq., Sir John Bennett, Sir William Pultney, Thomas Rayles Esq and Laurence Squibb Esq (or any two of them) to consider what relief she should be awarded and to certify their recommendation at the next General Sessions to be held next Easter.
