[f.118r] ‘Whereas Bampfield Capron of Bickton had formerly a pencion allowed him as a maimed Souldier but was discontinued in the time of the last Dutch warre by reason of the then greate increase of maimed Souldiers And forasmuch as hee is now growne very infirme by reason of his wounds received in the service of our late Soueraigne Lord King Charles the first It is thought fitt and ordered that hee be restored to his former pencion which is to be paid vnto him by the Treasurer of the maimed Souldiers of this County by quarterly payments till further order.’
