"Anthony Browne of Plymouth being a souldier in the late warr in the service of the common wealth was shott in the head & Elbowe, by meanes whereof he is disabled to follow his calling soe that his wife & children have & doe live in great want as appeareth upon certificate … It is therefore ordered that the Treasurer … doe forthwith pay … forty shillings towards his present maintenance, & he is farther to be considered upon procuring a certificate under a Commisionate officers hand & seale."
