[f.31r] ‘Forasmuch as It appeareth vnto this Courte that John Fitz who receiveth a pencion of forty Shillings per annum as a maimed Souldier of this County was living in October last past It is therefore ordered that the Treasurer for the maimed Souldiers of this County doe pay vnto Anstace Mannicke of Ottery St Mary widdow for the vse of the said John Fitz thirty Shillings for three quartars pencion ended at Michaelmas last vpon her giving note to repay the same in case the said John Fitz shall demand the same againe of this County.’
