Upon her petition showing that her husband received diverse wounds in parliament’s service as a soldier in Major-General Lambert’s regiment of foot and that he died of the said wounds leaving four small children behind him, and also a certificate from Lambert testifying the service and wounds received by Thomas Ward, it was ordered that treasurer for the Riding pay Ann Ward 8s quarterly for three years towards the maintenance of her children.
