Notes

fol. 8: A pension of £5 per annum had previously been awarded to Rachel Ward. However, Ward had now left her place of habitation in the county and sent Elizabeth, her daughter by her late husband William Ward, to live with Elizabeth’s grandmother, Ann Ward of Canterbury, widow. It was ordered that 50 s. of the arrears owing to Rachel Ward be paid to Ann Ward for Elizabeth’s education and maintenance and that no further payments be made to Rachel.
