‘Whereas Richard Jackson who had a pention formerly granted him by this Court of 4 li. p[er] ann[um] did on or about the thirteenth day of Aprill last past dye & left a wife & eight small children who are very poore & haue nothinge or very little to liue upon. This Court doe therefore order that the Treasurers for maimed soldiers for this County doe pay unto Ann the Relict of the said Richard Jackson the sume of xx s. (which would have beene due to him att these Sessions had he lived soe longe) for & towards the pr[e]sent releefe of the said Ann & her said Eight Children.’
