'The peticon of Dorothy Carr, wife to Captaine John Carr, Ann Hubock, Elizabeth Dodds, Ann Dow & Margt Rutherford was this day redd wherein they sett forth their former orders of sessions of the Foureteenth of January in the Foureteenth year of his Maties Raigne that now is &c. And of the tenth of January last (which were made according to the Acts of Parliam[en]t in that such Case p[ro]vided). That they should have paid them out of the parish of St Nicholas the sume of two shillings out of the parish of St John’s the sume of one shilling & foure pence, out of the parish of All Hallows the sume of one shilling & six pence weekly and out of the parish of St Andrews the sume of one shilling weekly. As in by the said orders unto relacon being had may more att Large Appeare. And withal that the said order was expired and that the Church wardens and overseers of the severall parishes were very slack & negligent in paym[en]t: so that there were severall Arrears due to them. And therefore desired that the same might be renewed, they being poore, disconsolate Widdowes & no way to maintaine themselves. Its therefor ordered &c. That the said order be continued for one yeare next Ensuing, to All Intents & purposes as in the former orders are menconed And every clause in them, to be now In as full As force & power as formerly. And that the Church wardens & overseers of the severall parishes observe the same Accordingly & make due payments to them.’
