‘The Treasurer for the maymed souldiers of this County is hereby ordered to pay vnto Andrew Veale of Holbeton a souldier maymed in the service of our late soueraigne Lord Kinge Charles the first the summe of Forty shillings per annum by quarterly payments for his more comfortable releife till further order And the Justices of the peace of that division are desired to take course that the parishioners of Holbeton aforesaid may aford him such further maintenance as his necessities require.’
