[f.223r] ‘Vpon the humble petition of Allin Nicholls of Tauistocke in this County a Soldier pretended to bee maimed in his late Majesties Service This Courte doth desire the Justices of the peace of that Division or any two of them to Inquire whither the same were actually wounded or maimed in his said Majesties Service & if soe that they Certify the same att the next generall Sessions & vpon such Certificate the said Peters [sic] is to receive a pencion of thirty Shillings per annum per quarterly payments vntill further orders.’
