'Whereas it appears upon the examination of James Hodgell, late soldier in Ireland, and now drummer under Lt. Col. Jackson that Corporal Robert Reeve (who was lately slain in the Parliament’s service) about two years since did marry one Alice Hambleton at Trinn in Ireland. It is therefore ordered that all those that have any moneys, goods and other things which belonged to the said Corporal Reeves do forthwith pay or deliver the same unto the said Alice Reeve, now widow, for her maintenance, she being far from her friends, as they will answer the contrary at their peril'.
