Item 76 in the rolls, Wells 1656: 'Uppon consideracion had of a peticion preferred to this Court by one Alice Moore, widow, whose husband was putt to death by the late kings forces in the late warres at Woodhouse in the Countie of Wiltshire, It is ordered that the Treasurer of the Maymed Souldiers for this Countie doe pay unto the said Alice the some of Twentie shillings … In consideracion of which said Twentie shillings shee … is not to come for or expect anie further reliefe from the Court.’
