"Upon recommendacion of his Highnes the Lord Protector upon the peticion of Alice Farthing of Tiverton who received a shott in her legg by the late kings party which for want of a good Chirurgion gangrened & was forced to have it cut off. This Court doth therefore order that the Treasurer for maymed souldiers doe forthwith pay unto the said Alice Farthing forty shillings for her reliefe & maintenance & she to trouble the court noe more."
