Six years ago her husband, John was taken prisoner in Woodhouse garrison [Horningsham] in Somerset by Sir Francis Dodington, where he and 13 more were hanged. The committee allowed her £5 per year out of Dodington’s estate, and after a year and a quarter took it from her again.
