‘Whereas William Roades of Chichester hath formerly had a pension of 40s by the yeare, which is now discharged, it is now ordered … that the said pension of 40s per annum be from henceforth paid to Agnes Roades, widdow, his mother, togeather with all arrears due to the said William, the same to be paid by the Treasurers for charitable uses and maymed souldiers for the West parte of this county by quarterly payments’.
