Notes

According to a previous order made at last Michaelmas sessions, Jones was to receive some provision from the treasury for maimed soldiers. Now the court had been told that Thomas Hurst, an existing pensioner, had died but this had not been 'sufficiently proved'. His pension (amount unspecified) was yet to be reallocated to another maimed soldier, so it was ordered that his pension, with the arrears accrued since Hurst's alleged death, were to be allocated to Jones. This order was to continue as long as Hurst did not turn out to be alive after all.
