Trusty and Wellbeloved Wee greet you well, Letting you Weet, That Wee minding the Releife of Our poor Subject William Harrison, who served Our late Royall Vnckle King Charles the Second as Corporall in Major Generall Masseys owne Troop at Worcester Fight, and also at Sea on Board the Royall Prince in the yeare One Thousand Six Hundred Seaventy Two, where in Loading of a Gunn hee lost the Use of his Right Arme, Notwithstanding which disablement he served Our Self on Board the Royall William in the late Engagement against the French, and being now Sixty Five yeares of Age and reduced to great Poverty, In Considerac[i]on thereof have Given and Granted, and by these pr[e]sents for Us Our Heires and Successors doe Give and Grant vnto the said William Harrison the Roome and Place of One of Our Almesmen belonging to Our Cathedrall and Metropoliticall Church of Christ Church Canterbury, for and during his naturall Life, if any such Place be there now void, or the next that shall become void, after the Placeing of such as have Our former Grant for the like Place there, Wherefore Wee Will and Command you not only to admitt and Place the said William Harrison in the said Almesmans Place belonging to Our Cathedrall and Metropoliticall Church aforesaid, but also to pay and allow vnto him from time to time after his admittance all such Wages Fees, Dutyes and other allowances as shall be due and incident to the same, in as large ample and beneficiall manner as any other Our Almesmen there have, receive and enjoy, or of right ought to have receive and enjoy by the Foundac[i]on thereof. Provided alwaies, that if the said William Harrison have any Almesmans Place elsewhere, then this Our present Grant vnto him to be void and of none effect and these Our Letters shall be your sufficient Warrant. Given vnder Our Signet at Our Palace of Westminster the One and Twentyeth day of September in the Fourth yeare of Our Reigne.

To Our Trusty and Wellbeloved the Deane and Chapter of Our Cathedrall and Metropoliticall Church of Christ Church Canterbury now and for the time being, and to any others, whom it shall or may Concerne.
