The second certificate for Thomas Still of Warminster, Wiltshire, 6 February 1648
These are to Certifie all whome it [illegible] may concerne that the bearer hereof Thomas Still hath serued the Parliam[en]t in the Regiment of Collonell John Birch for the space of three wholle yeares & vnder the Com[m]and of Captaine William Browne vntill the time of disbanding; & whereas at Gotheridge Castle hee hath receaued [illegible] twenty eight griueous wounds to his vtter vndoeing & the losse of the use & benefite of his right arme, & being now willing to Trauell towards Wiltshiere his owne Countrey [illegible] where hee was borne, our desire is that you will bee pleased not onely to sufferre him to passe quietly & peaceably thither but alsoe to succour & reliue him, & withall to allow him Reliefe & maintenance according to the merits of the Faithfullnes of his seruice during the time aforesaid; dated the sixth day of February 1647.
