The certificate for Thomas Roberts of Ruthin, Denbighshire (2), 14 January 1668

To ye Right Worr[shi]pp[ful] the Justices of ye peace for the County of Denbigh now sitting at this pr[e]sent q[uarte]r sessions held at Ruthin.

Whereas to yo[u]r wor[shi]ps their was by the bearer and yo[u]r poore Petic[i]on[e]r hereof Thomas Roberts formerly pr[e]sented a Petic[i]on & now in p[ur]suance of the same he yo[u]r poore Petic[i]on[e]r Thomas Roberts humbly prayes that yo[u]r worr[shi]ps will be pleased to ord[e]r him at this time some competent pension towards his releife, haueing great chardge of Children & impouerished, And as for his duty & seruice to his late ma[jes]tie of blessed memory I vnd[e]r whose conduct he was can and will verifie the same as I was Lie[u]t[ena]nt vnder the Lord Garrett.

The pr[e]misses considered yo[u]r poore Petic[i]oner humbly [?craues] pension & ye continuance thereof & in soe doeing he will euer pray
