Ad gen[er]al[em] Session[em] Pacis D[omi]ni Regis {Comitatus} sui p[re]d[icti] tent[am] apud Chelmesfford in Eod[em] die Martis esiten[ti] vndecimo die Jannu{arii} Anno R[egni] R[e]x Caroli vicesimo tertio 1647.

Upon ye humble Petic[i]on of William Pileston late of Colchester a poore maimed souldier who {?was} in Arme in ye Parliam[en]ts service, This Court doth thinke fitt and order that the sayd William Pileston shall allowed him the yearely som[m]e of Fower pownds for a Penc[i]on to bee payd him q[uar]terly by the Tr[easur]er for charitable uses and maimed souldiers of that devision out of the County stock, the first payment to begin this pr[e]sent Sessions, and to continue during his liefe. And ye Penc[i]on of Five m[ar]kes p[er] Ann[um] formerly granted him to determine & cease.
