The order for Thomas Howard of London (St Andrew’s Holborn Parish), Middlesex, 11 October 1675

Ad Gen[er]al[em] Quarterial[em] Session[em] pacis D[omi]ni Regis tent[am] p[ro] Civitat London apud Guihald eiusd[e]m Civitat die Lune scil[ice]t vndecimo die Octobris Anno R[egni] R[egi]s Caroli S[e]c[un]di nunc Angl[ie] &c vicesimo septimo.
Whereas itt appeareth to his Ma[jes]tyes Justices here pr[e]sent that Thomas Howard Cittizen and Baker of London formerly dwelt in the parish of St Andrews Holborne London And that the said Thomas Howard had served in his late Ma[jes]tye in his warres vnder the Com[m]and of the Lord Hinchyquin against the Rebells in Ireland wherein hee lost the vse of his Limbs as by the Certificates thereof may appeare And being very poore, Itt is ordered by this Courte that the said Thomas Howard shall have a penc[i]on of forty shillings yearely by quarterly payments paid to him for his releife by the Tre[asure]r for maimed Souldiers w[i]thin this Citty and the Libertyes thereof out of the moneyes assessed and received for that purpose dureing the pleasure of this Courte The first payment thereof to begin and to be paid vnto him att Xpmas next
