The order for Thomas Everard of Kington St Michael, Wiltshire, 4 April 1665

Ad gen[er]al[is] Sess[iones] Pacis D[o]m[ini] R[egiu]s tent p[ro] Com[itatus] p[re]d[icti] apud Devizes in ead[em] Com[itatus] quarto de Aprilis Anno regni D[o]m[ini] regius Caroli Se[cun]di nunc &c decimo septimo.
Vpon the Petition of Thomas Everard of Keynton St Michaell husbandman. And it appearing to this Court that by reason of his service and sufferings as a Souldier for his late Majesty in and during the late Warr he hath beene brought to greate want and now is poore and indigent This Court doth order that the Treasurer for the North p[ar]te of this County for maimed Souldiers and Marriners shall pay vnto him an yearely Penc[i]on of Forty shillings p[er] ann[um] to bee paid him q[uar]terly The first payment thereof to beginnge att Midsummer Sessions next. And also besides the sume of Twenty shillings in hand vpon sight hereof in regard of his pr[e]sent Necessity.

September ye 29th 1665 paid Thomas Everard 20 s. for two quarters pay and also in hand 20 s. more ending ye same day p[er] me Tho[mas] Long Treasurer

Everard being dead this Penc[i]on is graunted to John Hine.
