The order for maimed soldiers in Swanborough and Potterne and Canning hundreds, Wiltshire, 5 June 1678

According to an Order of ye last quarter Sessions held at Devizes the Ninth day of Aprill last past yt several persons who stand Penc[i]oned are dead and others now receiving Penc[i]ons are either not so much maimed but yt they may be able to serve his Ma[jes]ty in the pr[e]sent War &c and that a due inspec[i]on and enquiry should be made Concerning the pr[e]mis[e]s Wee two of his Ma[jes]t[y’]s Justic[e]s of ye Peace of ye County afores[ai]d do Certify that we haue summoned before vs the several Penc[i]oners w[i]thin the hundreds of Swanborrow and Potterne and Caninge and do allow ye p[er]sons herevnder mencpi]oned to receive their several Penc[i]ons as here inserted.
