The order for Anne Prockter of Halton, Lancashire, 8 July 1651

Att a generall Sessions of the peace holden at Lancaster in the County of Lancaster vpon tuesday the eight day of July 1651.

Yt is ordered by this Court that the Churchwardens & overseers of the poore within the parish of Melling shall forthwith vpon notice hereof make provision for the manteynance & sustentacon of Ann Prockter of Halton and her two little Children by an assessment vpon the Inhabitants of Hornby cu[m] Roberndale whose husband was prest for the said townshipp of Hornby cu[m] Roberndake to goe for the service of Ireland and had noe meanes to leave to manteyne her & her Children and shall allow them manteynance weekly according to theire wants and necessities vntill the next sessions of peace here to bee holden or further order bee made herein or otherwise vpon Complaint made to any Justice of peace within this County a warrant shall bee awarded ag[ains]t them to take them bound to answer there Contempts at the next Sessions here to bee holden.
