I receiued fro[m] my Lord Gener[a]ll a list of diuerse Cheshire men yt were of Col[one]l Daniells Regim[en]t & wounded or else dead in Scotland whose wifes are left in great distresse ye s[ai]d list with instructions directed to ye Com[m]ittee of this County requiring them to provide for the s[ai]d Widdowes as was done for other maimed souldiers or their wifes I receiued a little before ye noise of ye Scotts last invadeing this Nation came to mee which hindred my presenting the same to you. & now I can not haue time to find or remember wherin I laid it in regard of ye present expedition I haue in hand. I desire therefore you would be pleased to releiue all or some of ye most needy sorte of ye abouementioned widdowes or maimed men vpon notice heirof or as you shall see occation of the same, whereby you will answeare ye expection of his Excellency and pleasure yo[u]r humble Servant
