To the right w[o]r[shi]pf[ul]l his Majesties Justices of the Peace at the Sessions held at Thirsk this 27th of April. An[no] D[omi]ni 1685.

These are to certifie that your humble petitioner Thomas Morgan of Oswaldkirk in the North-Riding of the County of yorke, hath been formerly an officer in the foot service of his Majestie King Charles the first of blessed Memory. & being very aged, & impotent & indigent, he humbly craves the pension of y[ou]r Charity. & he wil ev[e]r pray for y[ou]r worships.
