To ye right Wor[shipfu]ll his Maj[es]ties Justices assembled at Wakefield

This may certify y[ou]r worships that Richard Andrew of Stanley hath much signifyed ye truth of his Allegiance to his Late Maj[es]tie (of ever blessed memory) by his p[er]sonall service in ye Late warres (being then vnder the Com[m]and of Captain Gascoigne and in that service received many dangerous wounds & brusies, the effects of which (attended with old age) doe make him much vncapeable in ye gaineing of an honest Livelyhood, which causes (being maturely weighed) wee pr[e]sent him as fitt p[er]son to bee a pension[e]r & to have such allowance as y[ou]r Worshipps shall appoint. & his vndoubted Allegiance may meritt  Certifying ye truth hereof vnd[e]r our hands & subscribeing our selves
