These are to certifie That the Bearer hereof William Owen of the parishe of Llanvaire=tal=hajarne in the County of Denbigh did truely & faithfully serve his Ma[jes]ty King Charles the first of famous memory in the Regim[en]t of Col[one]l Hugh Wynne & vnder my Command & continued all along loyall to his s[ai]d Maj[est]y and to his Ma[jes]ty that now is, as witnesse my hand this 23th day of Aprill 1677
