The Petic[i]on[e]rs husband W[illia]m Laycocke I have long knowne, who hath beene in the Publique service in the North, as also in the Army vnder my Com[m]and. By reason of the great distresse he is in at p[re]sent (having broken his legg in the service this last Sum[m]er, and being thereby made vnserviceable and is ready to p[er]ish) I desire you wil be pleased to give Order that his wife may receive that small Arreare w[hi]ch is due to him for the service of this Army, where in you cannot doe a greater act of Charity. I remayne,
