To the Right worsh[ipful] the Justices of the peace of the Countie of Carnarvon.
Wee whose names are heare vnto Subscribed beinge parishoners of the parish of llandegay in the Countie of Carnarvon doe att the request & instance of William Griffith of the s[ai]d paryshe afores[ai]d, the bearer heareof humbly certifie that in the tyme of Kinge James about 66 yeares agon he went to Ireland where he continued where he continued about some 50 yeares & after came to England & was pressed for his late magesties service vnder the comand of my Colenel Trevor in yorke, wemme, bolton, llerpull, mongwmbrie [sic.] brunton brian hollton castell & the divers other places whencen he returned home wounded as is yet to be seene by the markes hee beares & soe we humbly rest
