The certificate for William Graygoose of Bengeo, Hertfordshire, 15 November 1658

These may Certifie you that the bearer William Graygoose serued the parliam[en]t & Com[m]on Wealth as a souldier under my Com[m]and seuerall yeares (as alsoe in Ireland & Scotland as I am Credibly informed) and having received wounds & sicknesses by reason thereof, and being desirous to returne to his native Countrey the place where he was borne & bred; I desire that he may be permitted soe to doe as alsoe to be receiued in and entertained there, and that care be taken by those whom it may any ways Concerne that provision be made him for his subsistence in his Necessitous Condition, Given under my hand & seale at the Tower of London this 25th of November 1658.
