These are to certifie that the Bearer hereof William David of the parishe of Llanvair Talhayarne in the County of Denbigh did truely & faithfully serve his late Ma[jes]ty King Charles the first of famous memory in the Regim[en]t of Colonel Hugh Wynne & vnder my Command & continued all along loyall to his s[ai]d Ma[jes]ty & to his Ma[jes]ty that now is, as witnesse my hand this 23th day of Aprill 1677
