Wee whose names are vnderwritten Inhabitants of Chichester doe hereby certifie all whome it concerns that to o[u]r Knowledg William Austin was in the service of the Com[m]onwealth vnder the Com[m]and of Major Bodley in Coll[onel] Stapleys Regiment and that hee was in the West w[i]th p[ar]t of that Regiment and was hurt in the storming of Abesbury house by reason of w[hi]ch harme hee is now vnable to gett his Liuing Witnesse o[u]r hands this first day of October 1658.
