The certificate for Thomas Salthouse of Burscough, Lancashire, 3 June 1667

Thes are to Certify all whom thes may Concerne, that wee whose names are herevnder written doe know that Thomas Salthouse of Burscough labourer, was a Souldier in the Beginning of the Late Warres vnder his sacred ma[jes]ties of Euer blessed memorye & in the two last Seiges at Lathom hall & at Manchester where he serued vnder the Comand of Capt[ain] Mullineux Ratcliffe Capt[ain] W[illia]m Farrington & others wherein he behaued himselfe faythfully & neu[e]r deserted his sacred ma[jes]tie: but was & is faythfull to thes present day, haueing beene seuerall Tymes Imprisoned and now growing aged: haueing a poor wife & 4 children desires the Beneffitt of his Gracious Maiesty Extended towards all his poore Impotent & Indigent Sould[ie]rs according to his Acte. Dated this Third day of June 1667
