To the Right wor[shipfu]ll his Ma[jes]t[y’]s Justices off Peace now Assembled att this pr[e]sent quarter sessions of the peace held For the County of Devon the 10th day of July in the 4th year of his ma[jes]t[y’]s Reign ou[er] England &c Annoq[ue] Dom[ini] 1688

These are humbly to Certify yo[u]r wor[shi]pps That whereas vpon the humble petition of Thomas Persye of ye P[ar]ish of Collumptun (A Souldier Maimed in the service of King Charles the First) you were pleased att the last generall quarter Sessions of the peace held For this County of Devon to grant him A Pension of Thirty Shillings p[er] Annum, to be paid by the Treasurer For the maimed Souldiers soe that the officers of Collumpton doe p[ro]vide For him According to his need which according to yo[u]r Wor[shi]pps order & o[u]r bounden duty wee shall readyly p[er]form & remain
