These may certify whom it doth concerne yt I am credibly informed that this bearer Thomas Marsh was formerly a foote soldier in the company of Captaine Slan[n]mough of my regim[en]t & that he was wounded before basinge house & lost the vse of his left hand these all w[hi]ch is certifyed to me by Peter Ray who was chirurgeon of my regim[en]t there & cured maist of his said wound & I doe verily verily beleiue his certificate to be true, & doe therfore desire he may be releiued accordinge to the Act of p[ar]lia[men]t for reliefe of maymed soldiers
