There is a neighbo[u]r of mine one Thomas Beamond of Burton whoe has beene a great sufferer in the late vnhappy tymes, and was a souldyer the most p[ar]te dureing that distracc[i]on and never deserted his late Ma[jes]tyes s[e]rvice, but alwayes continued Loyall, and never rec[eive]d any thing as yet, hee is old, illegible Lame, and poore, there is one John Sigsweeke of Ingleton lately dead whoe had a penc[i]on of 6 s. 3 d. p[er] Quart[e]r pray if possible be pleased to enter him in his roome, Mr Jalham o[u]r Cheife Constable will gratifye you for this kindnes pray excuse this trouble from
