Wee whose names are vnder written make bould to Certefie yo[u]r Wor[sh]ipps That the peticio[ne]r Thomas Bathoe of Wilkesley cum Dodcott, within the said Countye hath byne A Listed Souldier vnder the seu[er]all Comaundn[e]rs in the petic[i]on herevnto annexed For most p[ar]te of the late Vnnatureall Warrs here in England. And that in the tyme of his said service at the seidge of the Castle of Chirke vnder the Com[m]aund of S[i]r John Watts knight Gou[er]nor of the said Castle hee there Receaved a wound by Reason whereof (as wee humbly Conceiue) hee was then lamed in one of his Thighes and doeth still Continue lame thereof, Whereby he is disinhabeled to vndergoe any hard labor hee haueinge A wife & one Child to mainteyne by his exterordinary endeavo[u]rs and the Charritye of his Neighbors haueinge vndergon many hardshipps beyond his habillity to mainteyne his wiffe & Child From seekeinge theire Releife in the Countrey, All which wee humbly make bould to Certefie vnto yo[u]r Wor[shi]pps And subscribe our selues
