To all true Christianes, to whom this p[re]sent writteinges shall Come greetinge

Whereas Thomas ap Richard of Neffin in the County of Carnarvon hath beene at service vnder his ma[jes]tie for the space of four yeares and was sorre wounded at the battell in Chisitter and was taken prissoner at nassby fight and was prissioner for the space of forteene weecke and was sent to the kinge of Spaine and have seaued ther for the space of five yeares and by the healpe of god Came over to England and Liveth sence verry Laborius according to his abilitty and honestly [sic.] to the knowledge of vs herevnto Subscribed and hath spend all hee had to pay the sergents therefor hee desires for gods love the Charittable benevolence of all good people to bee contributted to wards my his releefe in that poore Condiccion whearin hee nowe Liveth and beinge note able to worke otherwise hee may perish and wee and all others will eu[er] pray to god to preseaure and keepe all good Christians from the Licke misschangs or misserii as hee now endureth
