The certificate for the maimed soldiers of Over, Cheshire, Michaelmas 1662

Wee whose names are subscribed doe hereby certifye to all p[er]sons whome it may concerne That the seuerall p[er]sons whose names names are vnderwritten being now or late Inhabitants within the Lo[rdshi]pp of Ouer in the County Palatine of Chest[e]r did all of them voluntarily take vpp armes in the first beginning {of} the distractions for the defence of the late king of blessed {m}emory, and to the best of our knowledge or informac[i]on to the contrary) euer demeaned themselues as loyall & faithfull Subiects both to this king and his royall Father during the late tyme of Rebellion, and are all of them Indigent p[er]sons hauing no other liuelyhood whereby to support themselues and Familyes but what they gett by the daily labour of their hands wherefore wee humbly conceiue them fitt to receiue such aduantages as by the Act of Parliament is granted to p[er]sons indigent & truly loyall
